About the Role:
As a Fleet Damage Appraiser, you’ll be part of the team that evaluates and manages physical damage claims across our fleet. You’ll inspect vehicle damage, write estimates, and coordinate with repair shops and vendors to get vehicles back on the road quickly and safely. This is an in-office role working closely with our fleet operations and customer service teams.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Write clear, accurate estimates for vehicle damage repairs, ensuring they align with insurance and company guidelines
- Work directly with body shops, vendors, and internal departments to manage repairs from estimate through completion
- Maintain thorough documentation of claims, repair updates, and communications in our internal systems
- Support the fleet operations team in evaluating repair options, timelines, and cost considerations
- Identify potential fraud, total losses, or recurring vehicle issues
- Collaborate daily with colleagues in a fast-paced office setting
What We’re Looking For:
- 2+ years of experience in auto damage estimating and repair coordination
- Strong knowledge of vehicle parts, repair techniques, and estimating platforms (CCC One, Mitchell, or Audatex preferred)
- Experience managing a high volume of claims monthly (100+)
- I-CAR certifications or equivalent automotive industry knowledge preferred
- Solid understanding of insurance principles, total loss determination, and repair cost evaluation
- High attention to detail, with a focus on documentation and accuracy
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented office
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
